Sven Väth and the Cocoon family will join Tomorrowland!

Sven Väth, born 1964 in Obertshausen near Frankfurt, is the undisputed figurehead of the German club scene. For more than 20 years now, this star DJ and producer’s inimitable feeling for music has kept him one step ahead. An eternal visionary, he has devoted his life to the further development of electronic music and the promotion of all art forms in club culture.
An international ambassador for the Goethe Institute, he represents an important trend in the appreciation of music in Germany. His own productions and labels such as “Eye Q” and “Cocoon Recordings” are but a few examples of his experimental contributions to current events in the music sector.
For Väth, the opening of the Cocoon Homebase is a return to his roots. It was in that city between 1988 and 1998 where he wrote techno history as owner of and resident DJ at the legendary “Omen”, taking huge influence on what was then a totally new musical genre. So as to be transported into electrifying worlds, fans of the unique “Sound of Frankfurt” made their way to the city from all over Europe.
Since then the charismatic DJ has been staging his party concepts, aimed at uniting people and bringing people closer together in Cocoon clubbing events in internationally renowned clubs. His synonymous events and booking agency, which even has its own record label, considers itself a platform for artists of differing genres from the world of electronic music.
His latest project - the CocoonClub in Frankfurt - opened its doors in summer 2004 and completes the concept of modern clubbing.
This year Sven Väth celebrates 30 years being a DJ. Tomorrowland is more than happy to celebrate this together!
